Air Antilles Announces Additional Flights Between Pointe-à-Pitre and St. Martin
Quick Summary
Air Antilles, led by CEO Jérôme Arnaud and General Manager Samuel Braconnier, unveiled significant initiatives to enhance its presence in the Antilles. The announcement, made alongside Louis Mussington, President of the Collectivité, and Pascal Marcoux, Director of Grand-Case Airport, highlights the airline’s dedication to regional development.
A key addition to the airline’s offerings is a new flight between Saint Martin's Grand Case L'Espérance Airport (SFG) and Guadeloupe's Pointe-à-Pitre International Airport (PTP) route, operating at 7:30 a.m. on weekdays starting January 6, 2025. This schedule is designed to allow Saint Martin residents and visitors to enjoy a full day in Guadeloupe, meeting a long-standing local demand. These enhancements align with Air Antilles’ broader strategy to improve service reliability and timeliness, addressing concerns raised before operations resumed.
The airline has expanded its fleet with an ATR 72-600 set to arrive on December 20 and a second 6-seat Twin Otter DHC400. This expansion increases capacity, enabling up to four daily flights between Saint Martin, Pointe-à-Pitre, and Fort-de-France, as well as five rotations between Pointe-à-Pitre and Saint Barthélemy.
Focus on Accessibility and Reliability
To make travel more affordable, especially during the holiday season, Air Antilles has also introduced a special family-friendly promotion. All children will receive a 50% discount on ticket prices, excluding taxes, during Christmas. Louis Mussington emphasized the importance of dependable and inclusive air transport, stating, “By injecting an additional €4 million, we have made the right decision.”
Moreover, the airline has strengthened its local workforce by hiring four young professionals at Grand Case L'Espérance Airport (SFG), further solidifying its commitment to the region.
